ACTION FOR PROTECTION 2004

Video: 3' 40

The Association of Architects of Ljubljana organised an action to designate 50 buildings as important examples of 20th-century Slovene architecture. They made a list of 50 buildings, designed aluminium plaques for them, and printed beautiful black and white posters and postcards showing the buildings. Their action, which did not receive state support, represented a critique of the city’s lack of appreciation for modernist architecture, which in many cases has not been properly renovated or has even been demolished. I supported the action by filming it.
